Thanks Brian, I can’t believe I left that one out! I guess that’s because we have started using more Americanisms and we’re much more politically correct now. Poof was pretty much a British (derogatory) slang word for a gay guy. I’m not 100 per cent sure but I think the Aussies added the extra oomph and it became poofter. Because that’s what we do, we nick stuff. We stole poof from the Brits and Gay from the Yanks. What do you expect from convicts?!

Ha Natalina, you poopy wool! OK, I’ve decided a rozzle sounds quite nice. I read your paragraph while putting on my best Frances McDormand Fargo accent and amused myself quite well.

Why didn’t people tell me how many spelling and grammatical errors that post had in it?! I just went back and re-edited a bit. Probably still missed some but let this be a lesson folks, writing a post AFTER you’ve taken a Stilnox (Ambien)is probably not the cleverest idea!

Heehee! You mentioned to me once before how you loathe that…what kind of a friend would I be if I didn’t throw it back in your face?? Especially after calling me “poopy wool” about 10 times!

Natalina, it is very lucky you live all the way across the other side of the world. I usually bury the people who call me Chezza in my backyard. It’s a nice hilly outlook! Your Upper Midwestern has left me gobsmacked. I only understood a few words in that response like “and”, “that” and “my”. You bunch of freaks Although if bubbler means the same thing there as it does here, it’s a little drinking fountain that you usually find in playgrounds. Am I right? We also use nippy to describe the cold but what the hell is a rozzle and am I going to enjoy it?

You got me Pop Doctor! How could I have left out the word I use so much. I’ll have to go back and amend my post.

I’d say this is a VERY comprehensive list. You’ve even gone as far as to put in “Fuckwit” and make reference to the term “Fucktard”, and the fact the the term “dole” made the list really makes it a very accurate guideline to the Australian language. Very impressive haha!

I was worried at first as I read the definition of “dag”, as this is a term you’ve used for ME a few times! But, I will assume it is geared more to my ultra nerd status than my matted poo/wool personality

Now, I do live in an area where it is not uncommon to see a cattle trailer pulled up next to you at the gas station, and I rather like slot machines…smoking a fag as we speak…holy hell, I’m really a bogan?? Damn! Here I thought I was a classy lady! Well, for your entertainment, the rest of this comment will be written in Upper Midwestern/Canadian speak…the language of my people.
