Hmmmm. Perhaps your electronics were just feeling sympathy pains for my intermittent internet access and unreliable phone service while I was gone? We'll test the theory now that I'm back.

I actually have this strange "condition" which makes me toxic to many electronics. First of all, I can't wear a watch without stopping it. I've owned so many watches in my day, as I am a dingbat and always late, but they never last more than a week or so. A doctor once told me that it could be due to some kind of high magnetism in my blood? Whatever that means. But also, I zap things. Seriously! I am electric. I can't tell you how many times I've reached out to grab a land line phone or push a button on a DVD player or flick a light switch, and a blue spark or arc of electricity (like a static shock) comes out of my finger and zaps whatever I'm reaching for, and then the thing stops working properly or sometimes all together.

I know that sounds wacky, and thankfully it has never seriously affected my PC, but it is something I've done a bit of research on and it appears I'm not alone. Could be something as simple as me dragging my feet too much, but it is a bit of a pain in my ass!

Here's hoping the gods of appliances start to smile down upon us both!
